My Autumn Wardrobe
18:07
Autumn is officially here and it's my favourite time of year, I thought I'd show a few of my favourite statement pieces. They're mostly from Topshop and Zara as they're my favourite places to shop and I have few of these pieces already in my wardrobe.
1. The camel coat
I don't know about anyone else but I always find myself coming back to my camel coat whenever the cooler months come around. I feel like they go with so many outfits and are so easy to style. I love to wear mine over jumpers or long sleeved tops with huge scarves.
2. Zara blanket scarves
Zara blanket scarves are an absolute staple in my wardrobe - I actually own about eight including the two below. They're so snuggly and cosy and the colours they bring out at this time of year are so lovely and autumnal.
3. Chunky boots
I don't think you can own too many chunky boots in Autumn and Winter. My favourites are my Vagabond Dioon boots - they're SO comfy, really easy to walk in and feel really light on the feet, despite looking so chunky. I like wearing them with skirts and thick wooly tights when it's that bit cooler out.
4. High neck jumpers
This jumper is my favourite this year. My sister has the beige one and have the orange one - they're so comfy and oversized and look really flattering on. I love that the neck is high but not too high and the splits down the side make it look that little bit more interesting.
5. Capes
Capes are those pieces that really make you look like you've made an effort with your outfit. I bought a cape from Zara last year (Zara do the best capes) and I LOVE it. It was one of those items that I found myself reaching for a lot, so I was always desperate to find plenty of outfits to go with it - I can't wait to dig it out again soon! Eeek.
6. Pinafore dresses
I think pinafore dresses are perfect for Autumn as they're so versatile. You can just pop a tee on underneath and a big cardi over the top with some thick tights and some chunky black boots and you're good to go.
7. Hats
Hats are my favourite in the colder months - beanies are the best when you're having a bad hair day! If I'm just popping to the shops, I'll grab my khaki parka, chuck on a beanie and I'm ready to embrace the cold! A fedora is also another item which makes you look like you've made an effort, even if you haven't at all. Smock dresses always look lovely paired with a fedora, along with a berry lip.
8. Black skinnies
Black skinny jeans are a staple in my wardrobe anyway but in Autumn I find that they're my favourite things to wear. Black jeans are so easy to style and look great with oversized jumpers. I know it starts to get a bit chillier in Autumn but I still find myself reaching for my ripped skinnies as I do tend to wear a lot of chunky/oversized jumpers and I just find that they add a little more detail to my outfits.
