LA Splash is a brand that I'd never really heard of until I found myself browsing Beauty Bay last week. I was after a metallic liquid lipstick but didn't really know what to go for. The Kylie Cosmetics ones look really pretty but after my experience with them, I'm not keen on purchasing from them again. I went to Beauty Bay looking for something reasonable as I didn't want to spend too much on something that might not be great, or even suit me. After browsing around for a while, I came across these LA Splash Studio Shine liquid lipsticks. I chose the most wearable colour out of the four on the site which was a bronze/copper metallic. I didn't have awfully high expectations as I'd never heard of the brand before and the fact that it was so cheap! As soon as it came in the post, I swatched it on my hand and it did not budge all day - I couldn't wait to try it out properly.
The formula is moussey, applies really nicely and dries down completely matte - it's also kiss-proof! It lasts a really long time on the lips and is so, so pretty. I never thought I'd love a metallic lipstick so much! I wouldn't say it feels overly drying but I would recommend moisturising beforehand as I think it could look quite funky on top of flaky lips. I'm so happy with my lil purchase and can't wait to try out more liquid lipsticks from the brand!
