Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit

If theres one thing that my sister is really good at, it's buying the best presents, and for Christmas she bought me this absolute beauty. I'd literally been dreaming about owning this palette since it came out and I was over the moon when I opened it up on Christmas Day.
This palette includes two ambient lighting powders (Dim Light and Diffused Light), two blushers (Mood Exposure and Luminous Flush), a bronzer (Luminous Bronze Light) and their limited edition strobing powder (Iridescent Light).
All of the powders are so finely milled and silky smooth - applying them is a dream and they blend so beautifully. The lighting powders are great for powdering the areas of the face that you want to set and enhance and the bronzer is amazing for subtly warming up the skin and giving a beautiful, healthy glow. The product on a whole is actually a lot smaller than I expected but that's not a bad thing - it's perfect to carry in your handbag as it has everything you need in it powder-wise and like many of my favourite products, it has a huge mirror, which I obviously love.

My two favourites from this palette are Mood Exposure and Diffused Light. Mood Exposure is a gorgeous Mauve which looks really good with a chiseled contour and Diffused Light is a really pretty luminous powder which I like to use underneath my eyes and also on my forehead to set my concealer/foundation before going in with a translucent powder to set the rest of my face. The new strobing colour is also really pretty on top of any blusher to make your cheekbones stand out and gives a really nice radiance to the skin.
I'm very impressed with this palette, as you can most probably tell, and I'm excited to find out what else Hourglass have in store for us this year...there are already a few bits I've got my eye on in Space NK so I better start saving my pennies!
